Emergency Plumber in Cape Town
Burst pipes and burst geysers fixed fast, by the person who answers the phone
T‑Rex Plumbing has repaired homes across Cape Town since 2011, based in the Southern Suburbs. When you call, you're talking to Trevor, not a call centre.
What Emergency We Can Fix Right Now
Not sure what's wrong? Here's what each one usually looks like.
Burst Pipes
Sudden water, often behind a wall, under a sink, or in the ceiling, or a leaking pipe or tap that needs fixing before it gets worse. Shut off your stop valve first, then call us.
Blocked Drains
Slow drains, gurgling, or water backing up? See our dedicated blocked drains page.
Burst Geysers
Water pooling near the geyser, or a stain spreading on the ceiling below it. Common in older loft-mounted units.
No Hot Water & Toilet Repairs
Could be the element, the thermostat, or just an old geyser giving up - or a toilet that's running, blocked, or not flushing properly. We check before we replace anything.
What Emergency Plumbing Costs, and What Moves the Number
There's no single price for an emergency call-out - the real cost depends on a handful of things: how urgent it is (after-hours call-outs generally cost more than a daytime booking), how accessible the pipe or fixture is, and whether parts need to be sourced or are on the truck already.
As a guide: our call-out fee is R400 and our standard labour rate is R900 an hour. Saturday labour is charged at time-and-a-half, and emergency and Sunday call-outs at double. During working hours we usually reach you within 1 to 2 hours.

Find Your Stop Valve Before You Need It
Every home has a stop valve (sometimes called a stopcock) that shuts off the water supply to the whole house. In a burst-pipe emergency, finding it fast is the difference between a puddle and a flood.
It's usually under the kitchen sink, near the water meter, or outside against an exterior wall. Find yours today, before you're standing in water trying to find it.

Areas in Cape Town We Cover

What Our Cape Town Customers Say
Saturday call-out
The most incredible service from Trevor. I contacted him on Saturday morning and he was at our property shortly thereafter. Professional, extremely reasonably priced and exceptionally helpful. I cannot recommend him more
Kelly DillonGoogle reviewToilet and water pressure
Trevor and his team helped us on short notice with a toilet issue as well as a water pressure/temperature issue in our house. Trevor’s communication/admin before, during and after the job was a stand out. He also explained each issue and how it could be fixed in detail, which we valued.
Matthew SchenckGoogle reviewGeyser repair
Excellent service! My geyser was pulling around 24 units of electricity a day and he came out and diagnosed and fixed the issue. He spent over two hours here making sure everything was sorted. Very professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely lovely to deal with. I really appreciated the time and care he took to get everything right. Highly recommend!!
